shops and small offices in Bangladesh. HDMI and VGA outputs allow viewing on a

wirelessly or through the same router. EZVIZ lists support for EZVIZ and ONVIF
cameras, making this recorder an option for both new installations and
compatible existing systems. Confirm individual camera compatibility before
combining different brands.

Pros and Cons EZVIZ CS-X5S-8W Wireless NVR
Pros: Centralises
footage from multiple cameras. Supports wireless and network-connected cameras.
Offers local monitor viewing. Allows different recording schedules.
Cons: Limited
to eight camera channels. Wireless reliability depends on distance, obstacles
and interference. Cameras still require their own power supply. Cross-brand
compatibility needs checking.
The X5S-8W suits installations where footage from
several areas needs to be reviewed together. For a shop, plan separate views of
the entrance, counter and stock area. For a home, prioritise access points and
shared outdoor spaces.
Central recording also changes how you should plan
storage. Start with the number of cameras, their recording quality and the
number of days you want to retain. Continuous recording generally needs more
capacity than event recording.
Position the recorder where camera connections
remain reliable. Test every camera at its final location before completing
installation, especially when signals must pass through several walls.

Q: Can I
connect eight wireless cameras and another eight wired cameras?
A: No.
The X5S-8W supports eight camera channels in total; wired and wireless
connections share that capacity.
Q: Does
“wireless NVR” mean it connects to my router over Wi-Fi?
A: For
this model, wireless refers to camera connectivity. Plan an Ethernet connection
between the recorder and router for network access. EZVIZ distinguishes router
Wi-Fi connectivity as a feature of the X5S-16H.
Q: Can it
work with cameras from other brands?
A: Compatible
ONVIF cameras are supported. Check video format, resolution and available
recording functions; protocol support does not guarantee every brand-specific
feature will work.
Q: Does it
power cameras through Ethernet?
A: The
8W is the wireless model. EZVIZ identifies the separate X5S-8P as the PoE
version. Plan appropriate power for each camera.
Q: How many
days of footage can I store?
A: Retention
depends on HDD capacity, camera count, bitrate, compression and recording
schedule. There is no fixed duration that applies to every installation.
Q: Can it
connect directly to analogue CCTV cameras?
A: It is
an IP-camera recorder. Analogue cameras using BNC video connections require a
suitable DVR/XVR rather than a direct connection to this NVR.
Q: What is
the price of EZVIZ CS-X5S-8W Wireless
NVR?
A: The price EZVIZ CS-X5S-8W Wireless NVR around BDT 5,800 to BDT 6,800.
